SACTAI -The Swedish Association for Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and
Intensive Care is a component society of SFAI Swedish Society of Anesthesiology
and Intensive Care.

SACTAI was founded on May 29 1996 and now has a membership of 90 persons, all licensed phycisians in Sweden practicing cardiac anesthesiology and intensive care related to cardiac surgery.

The society is involved in educational, regulatory and research activities.

Yearly meetings are held in different parts of the country.
